Chrome Beta

A preview channel for Chrome on Android

Chrome Beta is Google’s early-release version of the Chrome browser for Android. It is intended for people who want to try browser changes before they reach the standard Chrome release. The app suits curious users, testers, and anyone who prefers seeing what is coming next rather than waiting for the regular rollout.

What to expect

Chrome Beta gives you access to newer Chrome features while they are still being evaluated. That early access can make the app useful for exploring changes and sharing feedback with Google. It also means the experience may be less settled than the main Chrome app, so it is better suited to users who are comfortable with occasional rough edges in a preview release.

Useful alongside regular Chrome

You can keep Chrome Beta on the same Android device as your current Chrome installation. That makes it possible to compare the preview with the standard browser instead of replacing the version you already use. For everyday browsing, you can continue using regular Chrome while checking Beta when you want to examine upcoming changes.

Chrome Beta is a practical choice when early access and feedback matter more to you than having the most settled version of the browser. If you want to help shape Chrome through testing, it offers a separate place to try the next stage of the Android browser.
